    Newb To the Site

I was given this site by someone I met at the shipping company. Said you guy were cool. Just wanted to say HI. I don't remember his name though. Maybe one day he'll pop up after seeing the location.

I have had the setup for about 2 weeks and the subs are getting broke in yet. They have some huge *** surrounds that are stiff as hell. But right now it sounds awesome. My box is 3 cubic feet after dissplacement. So about 5 without subs. Little small because i was pressed for room with my custom build in i did. I have got to get time to take pictures because it look sweet. I have it tuned to about 40 because all i am going to go for SPL. By the way do no t expect those speakers to sound like a W7. They get really loud but they don't sound the best but they still sound really good. Any more questions feel free to ask.

    Re: Newb To the Site

Oh yeah, if you don't mind, I have more questions. :thumbsupw I myself have some Power Acoustik amps, and was wanting the MOFO 15's. But I needed either dual 1 or dual 4 coils. So I went with my second choice, 2 dual 4 MAaudio 15's. My amps are the 1ohm series 2400-2. They can be seen in my cardomain page in my sig., titles "what my Blazer use to be". I'll try to add a pic of them.

Anyway, I'm aware they won't have the SQ, this guy wants SPL. I will be modeling a box on winISD to get loud at 55 hz. Seems to be his resonate frequency inside his Blazer. Room is not a problem.

So you have both subs in the 5 cuft box? Kinda tight isn't it? Have you or do you plan on metering it? Or is it just to be loud when you want?

Sorry for the questions, just when I saw you had what he was getting got me excited to be able to get a feel for what might happen.

    Re: Newb To the Site

My box is actually two channels one for each sub and it is 2.5 for each. Yea it is tight but it also looks really nice. Maybe when my car is done getting its paint job i will take some pics and show you what i did. No i am plan on metering it but waiting to everything losens up. I am actually sponsered by the local shop here and i am their main show car. So i am also planning on going to a lot of comps. First one is next saturday. Definaltey expect some good things from the system. So is he getting everything i have or what things exactly?
Any more questions keep asking me i will gladly answer.

BTW - Sweet Ride i really like what you did with the short bus and grocery getter. :hilarious What does your friend think of the grocery getter now.

Everybody loved it. I won alot of trophy with it like that. But I got bored with it after a year and a half. It has had the stereo removed now for a year, and the Blazer has been off the road for 6-7 months now. Hope to have it back together by Oct.

My next sub box will be a " Dual Ported Enclosure" for my 15's. 5 cuft and 1600 watts for each one.

I'm gonna look you up after that show to see what hapens. Thanx for the answers and Good Luck. :thumbsup

    Re: Newb To the Site

Thanks alot. I don't kknow if the subs are going to be broken in well since i can't drive my car but i will see how i do. If worst comes to worst i will stick a couple chargers on my car and let the stereo play avernight a day or twoo before so everything gets nice and loose.
I am glad that i could have been of assisatance.
I have a question for you now. Do you do a lot of box designing?

Yes. If there is anything you need help on, I'll do it to the best of my abilities. I have been designing for years. I'll break it down and give you a cut sheet if needed.

    Re: Newb To the Site

I got my box now and i am not the most satisfied with the result. It is not the craftsmanship because i ahve good woodworking skills. When it comes to box design i know a fair amount but not everything. Such as the resonant frequency of my car. That is over my head. If i get a chance i mught draw something up and see what you can doo for me.
