    with all the technology out there and no..

    and no way to install a aftermarket HU and still be able to use your volume and scan buttons on your steering wheel. wtf?? I figured by now some car audio company would have something to be able to do it. No big deal but it would be nice.

    I can do it with my steering wheel witha little interface that cost 50 smacks. Took an half hour to hook up and program. I got the one listed above in the link

    i think i finally realized how lazy we all are... not wanting to reach that extra foot to press the buttons on the CD player lol

    I myself and doing the same thing, i am selling off my perfectly fine HU to get one with a remote so that i don't have to keep moving my arm back and forth... pretty pathetic lol



    In the process of building an enclosure for 2 12" Magnum D2's... should be fun :thumbsup

    its one part laziness and one part safety...once you've had your car for a little bit, those buttons become second nature...

    i'm glad they are there, because its very convient, and we dont have to take our eye to locate the button or knob...

    when you're beatin and a cop rolls up that lil amount of time it takes to reach to press the mute button on the deck is critical.


    having a remote in hand is a lot easier, although it doesn't take off minutes - critcal seconds do count

    you know, I have an extra remote (both a wired and wireless) for my hu. Think I might try to incorporate the spare wireless into the steering wheel center (it's been done many times before me). Just need to move the IR sensor.

    Eww, I Think That Might Come Out Looking A Lil Funny W/ A Remote In The Steering Wheel.. I Guess If U Flush It And The Remote Is The Same Color As The Steering Wheel Then I'd Say Good, But What's The Point?

    Haha good call... i guess it is bad when the cop walks up beside you and you are still blaring "Fu.ck da police" on your stereo

    I don't know about safety or laziness...
    I'd just feel bad having buttons on my steering wheel that didn't do anything.
    It wouldn't make me feel like I upgraded, rather downgraded.

    The only problem with that swix is that you have to install that "electric eye" somewhere where it has a shot at the face of your head unit, yet somewhere that's not really visible.

    I don't agree with the "remote in hand" theory.
    But then again... "automatic transmission" is against my religion.
