    Icon30 would this compete???

    hey, thinkin bout gettin an all new system....what about 4 10" L5 solo barics??with 2 600.4 kicker amps running 300 watts rms to each sub???or 2 kicker 800.4 amps runnin 400 watts rms to each sub????which would be better???how good would this sound???would it have a "snowball's chance in hell" at a competition???BTW its goin in a 90 model camaro (folded the back seats down) any help would be GREATLY appreciated...!!!

    In local comps u could be up there with them but not in big events. If u tune everything right you could have a loud system though.

    id say get 2 800.4 it would power those subs better, and the l5 would sound better in a ported box,just a suggestion

    I would not go with eather of your amp ideas. Better to get less subs and power then to there full poteintial then to under power more of them. Again why get 4 10's?? Why not get just one sick 15?? DD,DP,Tero,HC... Give any of them full power in the right enclosure you should be able to do better then with the L5's. Little frase you should remember... Quality over quantity, Quality over quantity!!!! Very impertant frase in car audio.

    Even a 15 say L5 or L7 would pound harder I would think. Either way though, if you're dead set on 10's (which I wouldn't reccomend if you're wanting to compete), then I would deffinately port if you want to have any chance at winning even a local comp.
