Audio upgrade for 2013 Hyundai Elantra

I may replace the front speakers in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS sedan. I'm just curious to find out what speakers everyone has tried and what their recommendations would be. I'd like to stay fairly low budget and not have to install an amp. I was looking at these speakers, as they've been recommended by some. What are your opinions?

You don't have to install an amp, but any speakers will sound better powered by an aftermarket amp instead of a head unit.

Infinity speakers look to be the forum favorite on hyundai-forums.com. Are you going to cut the factory speakers out to reuse the mounting ring?

Yes, I'll be cutting the factory speakers out. That seems to be the best way to go about replacement.

As low cost as possible! LOL. I'm thinking no more than $200.

Amazon.com: 6-1/2 Component System (INFINITY PERFT61): Car Electronics

These are at the upper end of your price range but they sound excellent! And the Infinity Perfect stuff isn't going to be around too much longer. I got these for 43 bucks! Lol! Installed them in the wife's minivan. They sound great just running off her cheap Alpine HU. Much better than the stocks that were in there. Polk Audio 612" Coaxial Loudspeakers with PolyMica Cones Pair DXI650 - Best Buy

What do you prefer? Components or coaxials?

Components are in it now up front, so I'd prefer components for the front and coaxial for the rear.

Have you thought about adding an amp to the factory speakers? I have something in mind that you can tuck away behind the dash.

How about Hertz Deici speakers? Better tweeters in my opinion than the infinity, and better midbass drivers.

I've read that the Hyundai factory stereo doesn't have RCA outputs, so this would probably be a PITA. But, what do you have in mind?

Clarion XC1410 - this has speaker level and RCA inputs

Re: Audio upgrade for 2013 Hyundai Elantra

I typically use the Diece speakers as an nice upgrade without an amplifier, factory or aftermarket signal source. They'd perform better with a small amplifier, but will perform just fine without one.
