    What can some of the audio control eqs and crossovers do for your system?

    Theres many more but what can these eq/crossovers dop for your system? Are they necessary for good sound? Here are some eqs/crossovers.

    My basic understanding is that they are just that. They are EQs and crossovers for specific channels.

    what are you trying to achieve? Almost all audio systems use crossovers of some form. The crossovers filter frequencies to the speakers and subwoofers for a variety of reasons. Electronic crossovers let you filter frequencies before the external amplifiers, which allows the amplifier to operate more efficiently and can allow for more flexibility compared to older amplifiers without adequate crossover features. Certainly, we want to high pass filter the speakers and low pass filter the subwoofer. Nice electronic crossovers can also offer steeper slopes and level adjustment, as well as providing a stronger signal to the amp. The need for them depends on your amplifier selection.

    Equalizers allow you to adjust the volume of certain frequency bands to compensate for speaker placement or other installation issues.
