Re: will two subs work for me?
I don't know as much as others here so take my advice with a grain of salt.
I did have a similar question though back in the day for my local car audio store. (not quite the same, but similar, again the grain of salt thing)
I had two 12''s on an amp, and I wanted to upgrade to some JL 13'' but without changing the amp. What I was told was that I really wouldn't see much gain in performance unless the amp was upgraded too. Now there may be some slight gain, but the consensus was that it wasn't really going to be worth it. Also, I would have had to had a new box built as well so that may have been another factor in the "not being worth it" factor. If I had a big enough box to house the new speakers I'm not sure if it would then be worth it or not. It's best to keep things in sync nicely if you know what i mean (proper amount of watts for the sub).

two JL 12w3v3's in a ported box postin up out of the action for a lil bit
one 12w3v3 in a H.O. box on a JL 500/1 in a 2010 chevy malibu (this woofer also sittin in storage for a good min)
