hi, i have a problem that drives me crazy cuz i cant figure out how to solve it (i tried many different thing with no result)
my problem is: the output sound cuts when i raise the volume but comes back when i lower it.
soundstream speakers 80w rms / 4ohm
amp: pioneer d9500f (Pioneer GM-D9500F (gmd9500f) 800W Max Class FD 4-Channel)
I did set the amp gain with a DMM so technically eveything should work well. so SQRT(80x4)= 17,8v
so i put my HU vol to 37 (max is 50 so 37 is like 75%), play a speaker test tone and set the gain so the volts/chan is 17v at vol 37. technically if i dont raise the volume above vol37 everything should work with no problem? The problem is, sometime i put vol at like 20,25,30 and the output sound cut(stops). when i lower the volume the sound come back.
Did i do something wrong when i set the gain? any ideas on how to solve my problem?? please this is driving me crazy lol (i tried different plugings, changed my old amp for the pioneer one,and other things with no results)
its currently pluged 1 speaker/chan
