of getting a car loan from my bank when I have no credit history?

I'm looking to get a car loan to get myself something a little newer. I have no credit and my bank is usually pretty strict on getting a loan.

Is there anything I can do to help my chances? My girlfriend is willing to co-sign but I'd rather get it myself. I've hear bringing in info about which car I'm aiming for will help my chances, is this true?

well being you have no credit, i recently went through this. I was giving a loan and told since i was firsttimer it wasnt a bad thing or a good thing. its gonna depend on where you get the loan most likley.

Present them with some research on the car and how it will benefit you. Try comparing how to gas mileage will save you money enabling you to have more money available to pay off the loan quicker etc.. Show them that you have a stable job or source of income and will infact be able to pay off the loan. They like to see that you have done research and have a plan, that will make you look responsible.

went through this a year ago. couldnt get a personal or car loan due to "lack of credit backing" although i had a great credit score.. best chance for you may be gettin a car from one of those "no credit score required" places but be prepared to take a big hit on the interest from those kinda places. buy cash. **** loans thats why merrica is in debt fool. buy your self something you can afford. even if its a POS car you'll know its your and worked hard for it. thats just my advice.
