Have you measured your voltage yet at full tilt? A 270A alternator is not gonna be an instant cure - how many and what kind of batts do you have??
No offense but I instantly thought of this LOL ...

I like where this thread is going...
OP, before you start running that alt you need to upgrade your power wire, or at least fuse it so you don't burn down your vehicle when those amps start drawing more than the wire can handle.

I am going to be smelling the fire from here when he tries using that alt with that 4 gauge wire with no fuses.

I have about 25ft of 2/0 welding cable left.. Its a "build" for a reason. The new setup will have a fused distro, and a inline fuse from the batteries. I've been measuring my trunk. Went and bought some 8" quiktube from lowes. I think I can get away with it but its tight. I don't have funds yet for a 3rd battery. Only two optimas. Then I need to run my 2/0 runs to the back. I don't beat hard yet. But wanted to try a hair trick. God ****.

Obviously no one is taking me seriously at all. All I wanted was help. Guess that was to much to ask for![]()

And we're all helping. The IMMEDIATE issue you need to address is your wiring. And that's for a matter of safety. I said "4000 watts", because with your electrical, you're not getting that. Don't worry about the box design right now, get your wiring replaced and fused man.
