Yes, you can. The tuning is still based the same way, it just depends on where your port is and how you calculate that. However, you just use very basic geometry to calculate the port area anyway. If you ever build a non-traditional port just google the shape you are building and how to find the area of that shape. After that you just need to adjust the length to get the correct tuning for your application.
Yep the first box I built (way back in the day) for a pair of Type R's had a slanted front face with the port between the subs. Looked pretty good and sounded killer.
I would put the port on the slanted part of the box but for the port length would you use the longer or shorter length for the port length?

The safest way to figure it, is by using the shorter end. It is not "exact" by any means but you will be far happier if you tuned a tad bit to low instead of to high.
If you want to try and learn a better way you can do some reading on enclosure design, port area, and such.....once you get a good grasp on that you can start looking at end correction and other variables that will play a factor. Once you start getting all that down, you will be able to figure out just about any port area and tuning design you may need. It is the long way around, but a far better pay off if you want to learn along the way.

If you can't do an aero, then measure down the middle of the port to get an average for length. Have only done 3-4 that way, but they all worked out fine...
