Help me change my stock set up

I'm looking at replacing my stock speakers and put a decent sub. I don't need trunk-shaking-bass. I want clarity, clean, with enough thump! My brother in law's rockford fosgate equied EVO X from factory sounds good enough for me! I have a 2006 M3 without harman kardon and it sounds terrible.

Can somebody help me pick speakers for I don't know which are the best sounding speakers for right PRICE RANGE nor I have the resource and experience to listen and pick which one sounds good. I wouldn't want to spend more than $1k if I don't have to.

Put recommendation for the brand/model and what price new/used should be! Thank you!

    FRONT - 6.5" component

    REAR - 6.5" component (cheap) or co-ax

    SUBS - someone's offering me a JL Stealthbox, two 8" free-air woofers for $250

or should I stay with single 10"?

    AMP - 500/5?

Woah thanks for the rwply. How much does he usually charge, double 07 for the boxes. Components for the rear are a waste yeah? I will be keeping the oem unit with nav etc, keeping it oem look!

    Hey bud,

So a good option for speakers would be to go with the CL-62 comps in the front. Thats $195 for the set. If thats to pricey then the IAs will work well. For the rears all you will need is a fill, no need for a component set. The ES-6CFX coaxials will work great, those are $100 for the pair. As for the amps there are a few different options. I would recommend putting in a 4 channel for the comps and coaxials and a mono amp for the sub. There are lots of different options for the subs. The sundowns are great. I can set you up with a package deal for everything you need minus the box for a good price. Pm me if you are interested.

Is it necessary for 2 amps? I know thats better but i would like it to take minimal space. I would love stealth box specific for my bmw e46 coupe. If you can make me one specific let me know!

I can't get a stealth box for you, but im sure a box builder can easily make a box that will fit you BMW. As for the amp, if your looking to do one amp to power it all its not going to be cheap. You will need a 5 channel of 6 channel amp. There are a few good options out there. Such as the PPI 6 channels.
