I think we were all noobs once so I kind of know where OP is coming from... Fortunately I shutup and listened to guys that clearly had more experience than me. I don't think a lot of people realize what it takes to truly "get loud". If he has the kind of money to buy 2 more 15s and another Hifi 3200, he should find someone in the Houston area to show him what's what and he'd probably be surprised at what 2 of those CVX's could do with one of the amps. Just my 2 cents...

Two 15" CVX's will sound louder than 4 in a trunk simply because you would have the room to build a proper box. Kicker is main stream, which is why they cost so much (marketing) these subs people suggest on here don't spend tons of money on marketing and they remain in business because they offer superior quality.

You want to get loud? It's mostly the enclosure.

ok fine i will get sun down..... just dont take my raddle. you guys got to understand thats a texas culture in houston because we customize old cars and its ok for the panels to raddle and the trunk to jello. just like some of you guys like the hatchbacks with 2 18's pointing and fire off at the back of your heads. so people souldnt judge others style.

If you can find the room (depends on the subs you go for and what they like) I always suggest going ported. It has more to do with how much usable space you have...

OK, here's my recommendation on a relatively electrical-friendly setup. Keep in mind you're still going to want to do the Big 3 and two AGM batteries (one to replace your starting battery) AT LEAST. A HO alt might also be necessary. Tried to go on the unique factor for you since you said that's what you were looking for:

He needs to get his *** up to Dallas so he can hear mine, my friends explorer with 4 DC level 3 15s on 5 k, my boys Silverado with 4 15s on 7k,and my other friends Tahoe with 2 18s on 8k.. He won't ever mention kicker ever again

Brah I was born in houston. I know what it's like there. But you'll be louder than all the idiots in houston who have 10 12" ****** *** Sony xplods SHOVED into their trunk, 2 15s, such as sundown, Fi, Audioque, Etc will be so much louder. You'll be so surprised with how much output comes out of just 1 sub

ALWAYS GO PORTED.. If your having to go sealed, use less subs or smaller subs and go ported, you will ALWAYS be louder and sound WAY better doing a ported enclosure

Do it, subs are great, CS is great. Get loud for cheap.. Can't lose

Everyone has kicker, switch it up and run a brand were trying to show you. Kicker is so overpriced you won't hardly even pay much more, and you will be WAYYYY louder..

But yeah if you wanna run a SAZ3500, you better have a lot of cash laying around.

Oh definitely. Glad to hear her project's coming along well. And it will definitely be a wakeup call when you hear the output of that single 10". Could be enough to inspire him to pick up Jim's XFL 8s lol.
