I'll admit, I'm a noob at this stuff. Need help with new setup
Hey guys, I have a pretty set up idea for what I want in my car. I'd like to clarify first that I have a 08' Honda Accord so if there is too much bass, the aluminum body will rattle itself to death. But anyways I really could use some help from you guys about what I should do to complete this setup.
Right now I have:
-Kicker CompVR 10' Sub
-Kicker DX250 Watt MonoAmp
-Kicker Harness
This is what I already have installed in my car, but the feeling that you will never have enough has gotten to me. Especially with ****** stock paper-thin speakers.
My plan is to get the following:
-Another Kicker 10' Sub, so I'll get a dual setup
-Dual box for the dual sub setup
-Alpine Type S 610's for the front speakers that comes with 2 tweets
-Some sort of Rear speakers since I can't really hear them anyways
-Some kind of 4-way Amp for the stereo
So yeah? Guys I'm a total noob but I'm totally willing to spend around $400-600 just on that list. What confuses me is how the watts and ohm's balance out so that the amp can handle the power for balancing the speakers. Plus, will my mono amp be able to contain the power for two SVC Kicker 10' Subs? And since I need two different amps, How will I wire them together?
The biggest thing that is worrying me is the fact of my stock alternator being put into overdrive and dying. So any advice? And yes, I'm willing to install myself
Honestly, any advice would help and I really do appreciate it.

if i were you i'd get a pioneer deck like the dehx8500bh very easy to navigate thru the functions like all pioneer decks,as for your subs since you already have one ,just get another and use a dual ported box for both subs .the comps will be fine if you dont pay to much for them .now the wiring is gonna depend on what you have now ,for both amps you really need at least a 4 gauge amp kit ,you can split the power wires with a distro block ,then to both amps ,then ground them separately.hope this helps

For starters get rid of the kicker stuff. You can get a nice CD player for around $300 or less. A set of components for the front and a set of coaxials for the rear. Have @double07; or someone build a box for ya. 2-10's or 2-12's on 1,200-1500w will sound pretty loud in the trunk. Deading the trunk I'd do first with audio Technix 30sq ft should do it. Need to figure out what's the budget, Spl, or SQL. You can find better stuff than you have on here for sale. If you have questions, there's plenty of people to ask who's knowledgable with more experience with car audio.

Thanks guys, but would you know what the limit is on the stock alternator of a car? I mean yeah every car has it's own limit, but like an estimate. I don't want my lights to dim every time I hear the beat drop.

Your alt will be either a 55a or 65a for stock applications. You'll need a bigger alt for your system. Also upgrade to the big 3 for your electrical.

you have the eld system on your car anyway ,prolly no more than 1200 watts rms .there are a few vendors on here that can help you out with better equipment if you choose to go that way.which would be my recommendation as well.
2 12's in the trunk in a ported box 500 -600
1200 watts rms mono block amp 250 300
6.5 components for the frt doors and 6.5 mids or coaxials for the rear deck ,220
a 4 channel amp for the speakers 200
at least a 4 gauge amp kit with 2 amp capabilities 80
deadener for the frt doors 40
deck 200
big 3 kit 75
all this should be around 1300 new , this is just a rough estimate ,but pretty close ,but it will depend on what parts you get and from whom
you could buy some used stuff and cut costs some ,but then you have no warranty on the items
