All of the wiring is correct except I think the power wire may not have a very good connection to the battery. Would that cause this problem? I also heard that the amp settings could be causing it too. I'm just so confused!

Does ur sub get any signal at all when u have it turned up?
put the dmm on the ohm setting and test the sub. also test for AC voltage at the speaker connection on the amp.
Sub is open circuit, output on amp is gone, or RCAs aren't sending signal.

Im not sure man, there's a lot of different things that could be going wrong. This is how I would troubleshoot, always check easiest first.
1. Is the sub blown? Read coils with DMM (google!).
2. Is the sub hooked up properly? Make sure its wired in parallel or series (google!) and that it is hooked up to amp properly as well.
3. Is the amp done for? Plug in red/white RCA male that on other end is 3.5mm jack and play ipod through input RCA terminals of amp to see if it plays. (Looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-Feet-3-.../dp/B000V0G2C4)
