well I've been in contact with well known and respectable Garry Springgay. and he's unfortunately turned down my offer of reviewing it as his work load with PAS magazine and his own company Cogent Audio is to full.
so at the moment I'm gonna put that on the back burner.
I did how ever find 4 MODDED db drive pd2000 for sale and just might go ahead and grab them.. lol I haven't even taken these Audiopipe out of the box.. my wife is gonna be pissed!
I'm excited to go back home though. . I miss working on the car and its so close. . I'm debating on polyester resin or epoxy for the coating inside and out. . and suggestions?

Extremely fun thread to read through, excited to see whats next!
actually I'll take a few pictures of the inside corners before and after with the epoxy resin and post them in 3 hours
here's a picture inside the box with all the epoxy resin giving a rock hard reflective surface to help "bounce" sound waves

and here are some pictures with the rounded 90 deg corners using a 8" diameter 1/4" thick sono tube.. still have to go over it with resin to add some serious strength

I've ran about 150 watts to it and the top of the port wall was flexing like crazy, at least 1" and it was only 150 watts!!
I was intending on bracing it and already have the supplies but didn't think it was gonna need it that bad lol
wait till the weekend once all the resin is done and i post pictures so you see what i do to brace that massive port
The amount of cheap/free stuff you got ahold of makes me depressed lol
ive officially gone over budget :(
the epoxy resin was $130 for 3 liters plus 750ml hardener and i needed some more power and ground lugs (15) $45 and some flat bar 15 nuts/washers/bolt $30... which puts me at $1777
man this is great best read ever we need more show us more lol
i love this build… Makes me want to get a car just to build a system in!! Officially looking for a cheap metro!
