    Bass dosent wobble

Hey I used the search bar and couldnt find the answer to my question.
Whenever I watch youtube videos of people subs, their subs are hitting hard and the sub is going in and out wobbling very fast. IDK the right word. But my subs dont do that.. They vibrate when you look at them, but they dont come out of the sub and back in like some of the videos do.

Do you mean like a wave motion? Might just be a trick of the camera. I dont think they're supposed to do that lol

wobble is what the camera picks up but they should just move in and out

and if they just vibrate you need more power or set your gains right

    Re: Bass dosent wobble

If i recall you said you have wal-mart subs, they probably look different due to very low excursion. if you're talking about an actual wobble it's due to the camera.

    Re: Bass dosent wobble

So is it the camera not keeping up with the subs? Or is it not enough power?
UNDERFIRE what do you mean by low excursion?

    Re: Bass dosent wobble

Hey my subs are 300 rms peak and my amp puts out exactly 300 rms bridged at 2 ohms.. My gain is at about 65% right now, should i put it at 100% to get the full 300 rms?

And they subs are brand new, idk if i should the crank their full rms into it right off the bat?

    Re: Bass dosent wobble

was the video yours? if you mean yours dont move as much its because either like stated above you dont have enough power going to your subs or they are not made to move that much.

I retract what I said about the camera then, your talking about excursion. What subs are you running, what amp, where are your crossover points?

    Re: Bass dosent wobble

It's just the camera thats doing that

All subs will move the same speed playing the same frequency, but more power/higher quality woofer will cause the sub to move out further.

    Re: Bass dosent wobble

I don't know how to multi quote so..

No it was not my video, I was just looking at videos and I said to my self.. Demn mine don't do that.

Im running 2 12 kickers they were about 90$ IDK the exact name of the subs. Treo amp that is 600rms @ 2ohms, 4 ga wire... Sony HU but the subs i believe said that 300 rms peak.

I put my LPF at 80 on my HU and on the AMP.. I set my HU hpf at 120, because when I set the HPF at 80 my 2 trunk speakers (not subs) sounded like they were blown/rattling.

    It is parallel
