The remote wire is for your amplifier to connect to. The whole harness connects to the back of the HU and then you use a butt connector or t-tap to connect a wire from the amplifier's remote wire to the HU's remote wire.
But on the back of the amplifier? I didn't see any ports for it.
Ahh I see what you're saying. Disregard what I said previously. It's possible that Boston can get the turn-on signal from the RCAs without needing a remote wire. Let me check to confirm that.
Found it. It's in between the RCA jacks and the bass knob remote jack which is covered in the picture, on the left side.
That little slit?
Dude you're a lifesaver!
Thanks for the help!
Ok I've got everything either at my house or on the way, except for the amplifier. I plan on buying that in the next couple days.
Any suggestions before I put it all together?
Hey everyone! Before I order the Boston Acoustics amp, I wanted to know if there was another amp that supplied somewhere near 350w @ 4 Ohms in each channel in case I wanted to add another subwoofer?
Things to look forward to:
(2) 10" or 12" imperium audio designs subs
set of PHD MF 6.5" comps
Completely seal off and deaden my doors
aquire a 2k amp
aquire a 2 channel amp for front stage
Do you have any suggestions that will run 800w @ 2 Ohms?
Well I've got everything wired and ready to go except for the amp. I still need to purchase it!
Purchased the amp and now I'm waiting!
Just to review on how to bridge this particular amp to 400w @ 4Ohms, you need to place the first speaker wire in channel one's positive lead, and the second speaker wire into channel two's negative lead?
I was reading the manual for the GT-2125 and I don't understand all the "controls" that can be modified, such as:
u Stereo/Mono Switch
v Remote Gain OFF/ON Switch (ON when using GT-RSL)
w Lowpass Slope Switch (12dB Stereo, 12dB Mono, or 24dB Mono)
x Lowpass Crossover OFF/ON Switch (OFF/12dB/24dB on GT-275)
y Lowpass Frequency Adjustment (50Hz to 350Hz - continuously variable)
z Input Sensitivity (250mv to 8.0v - continuously variable)
{ Highpass Crossover OFF/ON Switch
| Highpass Crossover Q-Tune™ Adjustment (0.707 to 1.6 - continuously variable)
} Highpass Frequency Adjustment (20Hz to 350Hz - continuously variable)
~ Fuse (replace with same value mini ANL only, refer to specifications on page 3)
What are these and what do they mean? Do I need to adjust an of them based off of my mono-channel 400w @ 4 ohms?
