You just need 1 fuse, the fuse should be rated for whatever size the wire is. Unless the amp does not have onboard fuses, then you would fuse it for whatever the amp recommends.
it comes with a fuse and i already have a 120 amp fuse at the battrey do i use both? and i'm using 0 guage wire.
No your good hook it up!
Second thought if the amp is 1800 rms and you already have 0g. Then You will need a bigger fuse more like 200amps minimum or it's either going to pop or slowly melt.
The fuse at the battery is there to protect the wire. Fuse based on wire capacity. Go with a 250A.
200 or 250 about to order now thanks don't want to go too high and mess something up or would a cicuit breaker be better?
Circuit breakers and fuses are two different things, though they do the same essential thing. I use fuses. Use 250A for CCA wire, 300A for OFC wire.
ok thanks
