Ok so I'm only getting about 9-10 volts at my amp, so I checked my battery and it was at about 11-11.5 volts, do I just need a new battery?

u need somethin...id start with a battery
If not the battery then what could it possibly be?
battery should rest much higher than that
Pioneer AVH-P2400BT
Stock Pioneer 4" components
Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D
Two SA-12's
cruddy prefab ported box----new box otw
Batt is bad for sure..Also get that alt checked out. With, and without a load,Free at Orileys/Autozone
Check your amps ground if it's still connected, I know when I had my SK1500.1 the ground came lose my voltage dropped to like 6volts.
References: BigSix,
This industry is about innovation and setting your own path
its either the batt or the alt or both....get the whole system checked
Alright guys thanks
whats the reason for bad advice?
start ur car measure at the battery terminal should be atleast 13.8volts can be as low as 13.2 if you have a bad battery.
if its lower that 13.2v your alt is bad and should be replaced asap because you might not have ruined the battery yet...
Yeah might be a bad ground. I'd start with the cheap stuff and get more expensive stuff last
Things to look forward to:
(2) 10" or 12" imperium audio designs subs
set of PHD MF 6.5" comps
Completely seal off and deaden my doors
aquire a 2k amp
aquire a 2 channel amp for front stage
Battery probably has a dead cell in it. Go get a load test done on it at autozone or something and see if it is bad.
With my truck running I get 14 volts, at the amp still around 8-9 volts, now I'm confused, could it be because I had to shave off some of the 0/1 gauge wire to fit it in the amp power/ground terminals?
check ur amps ground is clean and tight
check ur battery terminals
test with a dmm pos on amps pos and dmm ground on trunk or hatch latch...
