i would just play my system full tilt and check the voltage with a dmm every once in a while

your voltage will differ from front to back. I wired a dedicated directly to my rear batteries.. I used one of the cheap volt meters that I got for like 5 bucks, and it worked great. The only reason I changed was because I wanted something easier to mount.

My volt meter was 3$, and 3$ shipping from hong kong, lol. Ive tested it with my dmm a few times and its always accurate. Its about a half inch by 1 inch, perfect for mounting anywhere.
i got one a while back, jsut different brand. works, and tests plenty accurate enough for what it is.

i buy broken amps....
No, i will not "gift" paypal. please do not even make it awkward by asking. if the fees are an issue, I am usually inclined to add them. unless you have discount elsewhere, shipping is through usps flat rate, through usps parcel post, or through the roof..... i am in alaska. thanks

I had one. It read low and it's not adjustable. But as long as you know how far off it is, I guess it's ok. It's ugly as sin though.
Biggest problem is that you would MUCH rather get your voltage from the amp. Blow the alt lead fuse or a ground goes bad in the back and you're in trouble because this voltmeter will still be happy but your amp will not be.

got 1 of these in my car. it is pretty good. normally off by about - .2 or .3 (if car is at 14.0 it may read 13.7) not bad for the price IMO.
