Cigarette lighter Voltmeter

I know this is an old thread, but I feel the need to make everyone aware.

Those $20 stinger meters do NOT list the accuracy or the response time. So you are basically buying a name brand with no specs. Like buying a kicker sub that doesn't list the wattage or frequency response.

Anyways, these ebay meters are $5 shipped (at most) and are 200ms response time and 1% accurate.

They are MUCH smaller than the huge stinger meters, so you can mount them ANYWHERE. They even have smaller ones if you need it but these seem to be perfect and the trim looks nice in the dash and there is no logo or writing anywhere.

This one is >=200ms response time.

Make sure to get the 3 wired ones because those have the auto on feature (hook one of the wires into the ignition or remote out from the head unit. I used ignition because I like to see what my battery is at before I turn the car on)

no I'm being serious haha. It's awesome. Things that normally cost over $20, you can find cheap versions for <$5. It's hit and miss, but I find most are a hit. Like iPod cables and right angle USB cables that have the cable coming off the plug the right way. hahaha.

Oh dude I know! I got an ipod cable for my DNX-6160 for $5 on ebay and they retail for $20-$50! The only thing I noticed is RARELY it will say "accessory not supported" on my ipod, but that is easily fixed by refreshing the ipod or head unit (30 seconds max, once a month)

I have this same one and I clipped the little ears off and took out my cig lighter and it slid right in then I filled the extra space with some filler and it looks pretty good and reads perfectly to my dmm I used the power on for my HU to run it. Heres a vid of how I had it in there before I sanded and finshed it. Excuse the crappy cam and rats nest was a testing set up after installing new ports heh.
