need help understanding 2 way and 3 way speakers
ok so basically i've just purchased my first automobile it being on 03 silverado, and have the exterior where i want it, and now would like to work on the audio aspect of it. i'm more or less clueless when it comes to car audio and was wondering what the difference or significance of 2/3 way speakers is, i know they basically have different channels or whatever like mids/tweeters/and subs all in one, but my question is, do i really need that? i have stock tweeters already in my car which i plan on replacing as well the bose amp and sub that i also plan on replacing,so my question is? do i really need 2/3 way speakers, and is there just any way that i can get the highs to come out of the tweeters, etc with the lows for the sub? thanks for your time and forgive me if this is a dumb or ignorant quesiton

Re: need help understanding 2 way and 3 way speakers
ok a 2 way or coaxel speaker is just that has 2 speakers.. a midbass and a high.. and a 3 way has 3 speakers. the goal is to seperate the sound better to divert them to the proper speaker in the set. to give better sound Q.
