2 xfl 12s right now in a aero ported box, about 3.75 cu after displacement tuned to 33 hz. just wondering if i go to 5cu tuned the same, what type of diffrence will i hear, deeper? louder ect. cause i was told each sub needs about 2.5 cu each. right now im giving about 1800 rms to the pair but will be getting a aq 3500 or vfl 500.1 next month. so just want to know what change i will see with a bigger box. just looking to pound hard
The net volume and port area will alter the response curve as will the orientation of sub and port placement.
It will get louder on less power. Not by alot though.
and why don't you buy the atomic 5k I have for sale? wouldnt have to worry about shipping then!
more port area is usually louder :) but less woofer control
