And not a single one of those brands qualifies for the strict interpretation of "MADE IN USA" under the FTC's guidelines! In order to qualify as "Made In USA" not only does it have to be assembled here, but substantially ALL parts vital to the unit's construction/operation/etc. must be sourced in the USA too. If Zed was big enough to get a fine, I'm certain that he would drop the Made In USA designation since most of his circuit board is manufactured overseas and stuffed into a heat sink here in the USA.
EDIT: Audiocontrol dropped the Made In USA designation for that very reason. The products are still assembled here, but they do NOT meet the post 9/11 guidelines imposed by the FTC.
Linear Power admits that they are assembled here, but were smart enough to not slap the "Made In USA" sticker all over their products.
Even Tru says they are "built" in California, but I can't recall seeing a "Made In USA" sticker slapped on them.
I used to swear by old school car audio gear, now I swear at it!
Very few brands are 100% American.
On that notion, just how exactly are the Camaro and Challenger considered "American" cars since they are assembled in Canada? I blew some local, uneducated, hick's mind after he gave me lip for driving a Japanese car... I asked him to tell me just exactly what was American about his Camaro that was built in Canada other than the name. He couldn't come up with anything other than stuttering...

Made in America is a huge misconception on old school car audio gear.
Almost every brand had a piece made outside of the country, does it make them any less quality.. No and saying that a product is, is also false. It’s the shortcuts that companies make to get the cost down is what makes their products inferior not what country they are built in.
95% of all old school gear has parts/boards/chips/FETS all made in different parts of the world. The Made in America was a gimmick marketing tool to drive sales, as Gunz had pointed out quite a few of these “Made in America” logo toting companies no longer have the finger star logo on their products.
Oh and Class D all the way!Just say'n!
