    Cheap SPL Build - 2 Rockford T1 15" vs 4 VVME 12"

Trying to decide on the new build. I have a chance to buy 2 t1 15" for 200 bucks, or i can buy 4 of the ebay VVME 12" for 200 bucks. These will be powered by the same amp, a phoenix 2kw (never heard of it, 5 40a fuses, 1/0 inputs, assume its good)

With the 4 12"s, the amp will be running at half ohm, an obvious advantage for them, with the 2 15" it will be at 1 ohm. Both sets of subs will see about 8cf @ 34hz. I had 2 15"s last time around on about 3k and loved them, but i think i wanna switch it up a little. Whats the general consensus on these?

id be kinda curious about the vvme 12s IMO. is that like a ebay brand or something. makes me wonder how they would perform. id probly try those 12s over the t1 15s. my friend has had t1 & t2(he currentky still runs them). and they are not very impressive to me for what they are "billed to be".

I did several setups with T1's and they are pretty nice and for that price would be a great build.

Well the T1s are actually 170$, and i paid 50 for the amp, plus wiring and box supplies ill be at about 300$ for a pretty loud 2kw setup. Whats the best bet on wiring now? I was thinking of trying audiotechnix wire.

AT and Knu seem to be the go-to's.

This times eleventy bajillion. While cone area is king, those T series RFs are very impressive. If you can snag two at that price, I wouldn't hesitate. 2 T0 12s in my local shops Avalanche on 750w is what made me decide to drop my Solo Xs for TRFs
