Looking to upgrade my electrical before I beef up my sub-stage in my 03 Silverado. What do you all think I would need to run 2000-3000rms daily. I'm figuring id need at least another battery or two with an alternator? Really kinda lost on what would be a solid foundation.
Silverado should have a decent sized alternator stock. Do you know what size?
Kinetik HC2400 or two and a big 3. That is IF your silverado doesnt have that alternator fuel savings b/s. Alt should be fine, i think they are a 145amp
when I went to 2500 watts rms in my '02 Suburban, I bought a 240a H.O. Alt and ran a single Kinetiks HC2000 up front...about $700.00, incl 0ga wiring and connectors for that Big 3 wiring upgrade and fuse holders/fuses..I do not like headlight dimming.Quote:

I have used db electrical before, they make good alternators but my favorite alternator is mechmans and he is located on here
IIRC, the stock alt should be around 145a...
I have a big three and yellow top for the time being. Possibly good with my stock alt and just run two larger batteries ?

Could I keep my yellow top and add a beefy Deka battery or would it be best to sell the Yellow and get two of the same batteries?
