Just takes some time to get used to your tools. Many times the tool will make the product look better then anything.

Re: The box guy
I was quite happy with the 1 box I bought from him.
ITT people who work for 5$ an hour are butthurt at someone who charges enough to support his family.

I can respect him for that, and if works that is great. I don't think that is all he does though. I know online they don't care about quality for anything just a low price. That goes for everything online though.

Re: The box guy
I respect both builders and their work. I've heard a Dave the box guy's and Starr mountain boxes. Both boxes were in huge vehicles. Both metered the exact same thing 139.9. Both builders have roughly 20 yrs of experience. It depends if you want Dave the guy or Starr mountain box in your ride with a decal with either name on your ride.

AFAIK that's all he does. At least that was the case a couple years ago when I traded for one from him.

If you can bang one out in an hour you could probably make a fine return on time invested making up a bunch and selling on here.

Re: The box guy
I havent spent a lot of time in the tech sections lately, can someone explain to me what the big acoustical advantage is to an 8 sided port?
No speaker, in the history of speakers, has ever been blown by too little power. Ever. I don't care what your friend told you, he's a dirty liar.

Re: The box guy
if im not mistaken they were first used in competitions so skirt the "round port" rule. basicly they could get more port area or whatnot. dont quote me on this tho. im sure someone will come in and post a wall of text explaining it all. lol
