Please Help! Kenwood Head Unit Password

I have a slightly older model Kenwood cd player head unit with the motorized face. It has the 4 digit passcode activated on it. Does anyone know of anyway to get past this code? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

nope there is now way around it. You must have this orange card that has some codes on it. That is the only way. It is like this anti-theft device. Without the orange card u are screwed.

D***. Factory Honda cd players have this feature too but at least with them you can go to the dealer to break the code for a small fee.

Best bet is to talk to kenwood or hound your buddy for the code.

Go to a shop that services Kenwood radios. There is a universal code to de-activate that feature once it has been activated. It is closely gaurded and only Kenwood authorized service techs get it. If you can prove it is yours and it isn't stolen, they will unlock it for you.

I have the password, but nothing happens after I put in the code. Is there a special way to put in the code or special button after to push after I put in the code?

Re: Please Help! Kenwood Head Unit Password

after you put the code in you have to hold the disp. button for a couple seconds. i used to have a hu like that.if that doesn't work, call kenwood, they'll tell you how to do it, but i'm think you have to have the $50 remote to do it(the one with like 30 buttons)
