wtf are you talking about? To check the coils, you have to unscrew the sub from the box, and pull it out. Takes about a minute. To check the wire connections on the sub, you have to unscrew the sub from the box, and pull it out. Takes about a minute.

earlier he said he would have to redo the box if took the speaker out.... now he can see the coils are fine with out a dmm?
i need to get my eyes checked i guess. i cant read coils with out a dmm
Re: Subwoofer sounds different after 10 hours of use problem?
Guess you guys don't understand.. I can see the wire connections without taking the box apart. I would have to take the box apart to check the coils obviously

I guess you don't understand... you obviously would not... Unless you have some sort of very crazy box? You can SEE the wires, which leads me to believe you have a plexiglass window? But you can't CHECK the coils with a DMM, which would be the proper thing to do. 95% of subwoofer installs I've seen, it's as simple as removing the screws that hold the woofer into the enclosure, and then removing the woofer. Perhaps you do have a unique and complicated design? But I doubt that, since you said it's a simply sealed enclosure. Perhaps a picture of this complication might help us all?

What is your Head Unit?
Does it have muting/attenuation settings u inadvertently changed?
Re: Subwoofer sounds different after 10 hours of use problem?
man there's nothing wrong your like me you always listen to it loud and are very accustom to how it should sound but come winter or cooler days the air is denser and therefore heavier so output is reduced and to some a lot especially by ear.

I can't remove the screws that hold the woofer into the enclosure because I have already used the box twice and I don't want to use the same holes again. And all you gotta do is pop off the wire connector cap on the side of the box to see the connections inside. Ta-da!

Probably broke a tinsel or burned a coil.

Guessing it's just the colder weather last week and the density of the air like other people said, because If I broke a tinsel or burned a coil the mirror would not have the same movement, but my ears don't hear that it's as loud because of the temp/air but in reality it's still hitting the same.
