Build in progress 2005 Trailblazer LT

Finally getting around to putting a system in the Trailblazer! I bought this almost a year ago and am finally scratching the itch to have a better sounds.

I have been in to the car audio scene for quite a while but, I am going to start off relitivily modest with this build.

    Equipment:
    Alpine cda-9886 (installed)
    Audioque 4x90 (installed)
Audioque first gen components in front and rear doors (installed)
    Audioque 2200 (installed)
Audioque HDC4 18" dual 1 ohm (due here Tuesday)
Optima yellow top group 3400 under hood (installed)
Knukonceptz KLMX 1/0 cable, 4 runs front to rear (installed)
Big three done with 2/0 welding cable (installed)
XS D3100 in rear (coming soon)
Mechman 270 amp alt (coming soon)

Custom sub enclosure (built but waiting for sub):
    6ft^3 net
    35 hz
    108in^2 port

Pics: (will get some shots of the truck soon)

Favorite thing purchased for this build

    Only shot before being finished:

First time using the rabbeted side panel method for carpeting:

    Love knukonceptz' 8ga speaker cable!:

That is all for now but this will be coming together soon. I will be running the HDC4 @ 2 ohms until the funds are available for electrical upgrades and then will be dropping it to 1/2 ohm. This should allow a good amount of time for the sub to get broken in.

Re: Build in progress 2005 Trailblazer LT

note with that table saw that the extensions might not be the exact same size as the main table. that is a concern when the guide overlaps the seam, then the guide can lose true perpendicular and you can get binding at the blade. it can be a PITA to cut some dimensions. the best thing to do is laminate a later on the extensions so they are the same size as the main table (usually they are a bit smalller) so the guide can overlap the seam and remain true.

    cool box.

have you been helped by me? i'd love to know. got a question? shoot me a PM.

Re: Build in progress 2005 Trailblazer LT

The fence doesn't square the best even on the main part of the table. I measure both the front and back of the blade always just like I would on any table saw.
