Why is this thread still going? Mono block amp = 1 channel. Mono doesn't mean 1 ohm stable. /thread
@ewadz3006 I mentioned this article a post or two back.. Monoblock Amplifier - The Enthusiast's Choice in Car Audio ...Do you think two Soundstream xxx 6500's will be ok for my comps in the front doors, one on each L/R ch?.. I was thinking maybe adding another mid bass to each set and running 4 6500's, 2 strapped to each side...since they do have a very impressive S/N of 80db and all.. will I need sound deadening?

Lmao!
First off you can only run two 6500's on stock electrical. If you want to run 4 of them you'll need to add a flux capacitor. You wont need deadener cause that stuff is fer sukas!
Btw 80db's really isnt that loud. Lol

so weird that you said that my friend had me watch her cat when she was on vacation
that lil fukr barked at me when i came in the house alone to feed it
and to think i was gonna put so amp info in this thread ......never mind this was way more entertaining to talk about barking cats lol
and if your asking questions like this you need to go read a book on amp design, these are theories and topics that a person that dont know about them shouldnt concern them self with in the first place
need an aeroprt?

Any chance this guy was just trying to describe something like the old Audiopipe 3K, or the AB 1000.1 or similar which are two separate amps in one heatsink?
Not like there's anything wrong with that really, assuming the design is reliable.
lol

yah, monoblock means one channel. it has absolutely nothing to do with class d, impedance, cross-over options, circuit design, etc... now, when you choose a monoblock, those different things are what you consider when picking one to suit your needs. i have a real old denon monoblock full-range amp, that was meant to be used in conjunction with more matching monoblock amps, and dead-head reciever, or pre-amp unit. class a tank. if he happened to catch wind of things way over his head, then he could be referring to the different types of class-d output circutry. you could have a simply fly-back, bi-polar, tripath, etc, and they would all be simply class-d. as for ohm load making a difference- the only reason that makes a difference, is dependant on what you are driving. for instance, you want 1k to a d4 sub, then it would be gooder to buy a 2ohm stable 1k, than a 1ohm stable 1k, because you end up with 500 wats at 2ohm. on the other hand, you have the same sub in d2, or 2x d4, then you buy one that is 1ohm stable, because you would be forced to wire up to 4 ohm for half the power, because 1 ohm will blow it. all these options, are just that- options for you to pick from.

i buy broken amps....
No, i will not "gift" paypal. please do not even make it awkward by asking. if the fees are an issue, I am usually inclined to add them. unless you have discount elsewhere, shipping is through usps flat rate, through usps parcel post, or through the roof..... i am in alaska. thanks
