    about to buy RF 8250ti head unit.(need help)

    I'm about to buy the rf 8250ti from sounddomain and I have a one question.
    1)does this deck have a detachable faceplate?

    No. You can buy a dummy face plate for it though to make it less interesting to thieves.

    I got one from mcminone.com, but I don't have that deck anymore and don't know what the part# was. Call them and tell them you want a blank faceplate and they'll find it. I think Metra has them too. Keep in mind that the deck doesn't come with the DIN sleeve thing, so the usual car mounting kits with trim plates won't work. You'll probably have to be creative with the install.
