Well..straight from SKAR, you can get a pair of VVX 10s with a custom ported box for $379.99 shipped to your door. I'd say go with the new ones, they're only $20 more. That way, you know you're getting a new, good-conditon product. If anybody owns a functional pair of VVXs, they're probably not going to sell them.

I don't trust CL but like fulltilt mentioned, you can buy it brand new and custom to how you want it for not much more. It sounds like an easy decision.
