Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
I dont think subwoofers arnt designed to play midbass fqs, ide look into full range drivers, but theres alot of good 8in mids/full range speakers
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
if your truck is an auto, build a small center console for them (so you can control air space) cupholders, change pocket, etc. so its worth your time and you gain some functionality out of it
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
No dont do that... Get some good mids for the doors and properly seal them to get midbass...
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
im just lookin for more of a punchier bass up front like hitting quick hard beats not long low notes like the subs in the trunk. like a hammer hitting the side of my vehicle
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab

13-15sq ft, 6-7.5sqft each door. Altyough mine have 12 a door lol i have great midbass, but i also have cdt hd mids :)
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
You can get that from your subwoofers, but it may be difficult to get it to sound balanced with your speakers. Mostly it's install and tuning issues that need to be addressed that will give you hard hitting, punchy bass up front.
Check out Sound Deadener Showdown - Your Source for Sound Deadening Products and Information and send an e-mail to the owner, Don. If he doesn't get back to you within a couple of days send another e-mail. He'll give a consultation to discuss your situation and your vehicle. You need multiple treatments to get strong midbass up front with door-mounted speakers. Deadener alone isn't the answer.
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
You cant just put some deadener on the doors though you gotta make sure you seal them up
Re: single 8 or 6.5 in cab
ok thanks i just found a video on youtube showing how to seal the whole door, just mint
