Alright, after reading on here I have basically decided what I wanna do. But there are still many things that I am either overlooking or am uncertain about, and perhaps some of you can help me out. I have narrowed the setups to 2 possibilities:
2 12" Rockford Fosgate He subs (200 rms), and a RF 360x2 amp.
2 12" Rockford Fosgate He2 subs (400rms), and a RF 800x2 amp
I am leaning toward the second one because I have the money and the He2's sounded so nice when I listened to them. However, I have some concerns. My friend said that those subs will blow all of my seals in my trunk, so I would have some hardcore rattle (no good). Do you guys believe this would be a problem? (99 ford escort zx2) Also, would I need to spend a lot of money on soundproofing or could I get by without all that? Would I need to upgrade battery or add any other electrical items?
I really wanna go with the better setup, but not if its gonna rattle my car and sound like ***. I am leaning more toward spl, but still I don't want it to just sound awful. I am DECIDED on a sealed box to salvage a little sq. Also, what would be the best way to direct my subs? Should I just have them fire toward the back of the trunk, or would it be better to drop my backseat and have them fire into the cabin? Would that save my trunk seals? I am gonna talk to the guy at the shop too, but I really need help from you guys on all of this. Here is what else I have too... take that into account.
