Why does My Sony CDX750 **** so much

Can somebody help me. I bought a CDX750 about a month ago and so far nothing but problems. It skips all the time. Every little bump i hit, sidewalk or potholes the stupid thing skips. Is it because the unit is defective, improper placing or what. Should i try to reinstall it? Sombody help thanx.....

could be a number of probs.. it could be a defect but it sounds like the harness on the back of the hu wasnt installed correctly. this harness keeps the cd player from moving which prevents skipping. the harnesses look like two "V" shaped rods at the back of the h/u. id take it back and check it out... return it and get another brand... like blaupunk
