    vehicles

i drive a jeep cherokee, and when i was looking at small suv's I ultimately chose the cherokee because the rear hatch is all one piece, as a posed to the explorers and blazers where the rear window opens from the hatch separately. Ive seen people have bad problems from the bass rattling and breaking the latches on the window on the back hatch, and having to replace it a lot. So, what Im asking is: because of this, why don't more people use cherokees more often?

    Re: vehicles

are they? I bought mine used, so the price wasn't bad. But new they're more expensive than some other suv's of equivalent size?(well, like you said, for what you get anyways)

    Re: vehicles

The Cherokee was more utilitarian than most suv's because it was designed to go off road. Because of this, there are less luxury options which most people favor these days, not to mention it has a still ride and wasn't very efficient and depreciation was slow so they do carry a bit of a premium. This is also what allowed car based suv sales to skyrocket.

yeah the durango has a one piece hatch. I was talking mechanics though. the durango is much larger inside.

    Re: vehicles

that is true, but really the cargo space isn't so much of a matter to me because I took out the back seat anyway so I have plenty of room, at least now anyway... but thanks for the input guys
