HELP. Amp Power Light Fading Out

AP.15001d stock system grounds and remote are all fine.

I've seen amps going into protect but this one turns on and then fades out. No Output

    Suggestions???

do you have a second battery or cap with a fuse between it and the front battery, and the fuse may be toast causing no re-charge? Had this issue before, blew front fuse but amp hooked up to second battery in buddies Explorer and amp would start then fade out and protect, turn it off and back on a few min later and it would work then crap out... turns out fuse was broken in-line between front/back batts. just throwing it out.

Sounds like a poor ground. Mine did the same thing and it was because it wasn't getting an adequate connection. Those ap's need a lot of power to first click on, and you might not have enough of a connection to supply that current. Watch the voltage on the amp as it starts up

Wheres your ground? are you sure your remote is not pinched? How old is the headunit? did you hook it to the right remote wire? Are your fuses all ok? the ones int he amplifier and upfront?

Re: HELP. Amp Power Light Fading Out

i had a bad ground and when i hit bumps it would cause some horrific feedback, no corrossion but good call - didnt think of it because never had a corrosive problem.

Re: HELP. Amp Power Light Fading Out

just seen a system with the same problem, and it was a corrosive ground.cut the bad area out ,cleaned the ground point and reattached, and worked fine then.

    4awg OFC power and ground.

The amp has internal fuses so i'll check the inline next and then re-locate the ground. it's not corroded or loose i know that for a fact.
Ground is located under the rear seats bolted to the frame

I also use the seatbelt bolt but you guys aren't reading correctly he said under the seat bolted to the frame, he COULD have made his own ground bolt so maybe that's the problem or maybe I'm just over-reading lol. Anyways I think it's your ground, almost curtain how would it be the inline fuse if it worked in another vehicle? Almost 100% of the time if equipment works in another vehicle its user install error.
