    2011 Chevy Cruze Improvements

I'm looking for a gift for a friend of mine. He just got a new Chevy Cruze and I want to help him out with some improvements to his stereo system. What do you guys suggest?

I'm not to familiar with audio systems in new cars. The last time I bought a head unit and some speakers it was for an old, early 90's truck, so my technological knowledge is pretty limited.

Is it possible to just stick some new speakers and an amp in this thing, or is it an all or nothing deal and he would have to replace everything to make it worth the while?

I'm pretty sure the car has the nav system but not the pioneer speakers.

Any specifics of what types of speakers, amps etc would be great.

    Thanks!

What does he NOT like about his OEM system. This would help a lot to know.

I don't think he has any complaints, but more volume with higher sound quality is always a good thing.

Is he wanting to drop speakers into existing OEM placement openings? Get some comps or a good set of coaxials with a good 2ch amp to go with em.

my guess is youll have to buy a gm lan interface for a new headunit and those arent cheap. my thoughts are a new component set
