Clamp comparison: Fluke vs. Craftsman professional

A while back there was a discussion about the differences between clamp meters.

Since I have a Fluke 337 and a craftsman professional "true rms" meter, I decided to do a comparison.

Here's a vid showing the differences:

Bottom line: you get what you pay for.

Note the HUGE difference in peak hold numbers at the end.

    Fluke: 102x43.9= 4477 watts

    Craftsman: 102x61.6= 6283 watts

Massive difference. As much as I'd like to believe the craftsmans numbers, I know they aren't right.

I picked mine up on ebay for $200 shipped. Used but in great shape.

New I think they run about $350.

    Very interesting review.

Make sure yours isnt one of the recalled meters if you bought it used:
