1 ohm or 2 ohms for my subs

So I've purchased a Cadence iA9 from another member here, and it can do 1K RMS at 2 ohm or 2K at 1 ohm. I'm going to be running dual SA-8's in a custom built box (1.3 cubes ported).

Am I going to notice a difference in sound quality between 1 ohm or 2 ohms? The reason I ask is because I'd like to feed the subs the most power I can without blowing them (was thinking I would be able to hit around 1200 RMS), and even then, I'd like a little bit of headroom on the amp which isn't going to happen at 2 ohms. If there's going to be an audible decrease in sound quality though, I may reconsider.

    Thanks!

No run at 1 ohm if thats the power you want... you will not notice a difference...

Wire them to 1 ohm. As long as the gain is set correctly, you will not hear the audible difference in the distortion in such low frequencies.

That's what I had been reading but just wanted to confirm. Thanks!

I'll buy the dual 4's and wire them to 1 ohm then.
