    Weird problem doing big three

on my 2007 volvo s40,when i ran a new 0 guage from the positive terminal on the alternator to the positive terminal on my optima, my car wouldn't start. i reconnect the original factory wire and whalaa it starts just fine. i asked the volvo dealership is the factory alt + to bat + wire intersects anything along the way such as any starting/ignition system components but they said it was a direct wire from the alt + to the battery +. i have 0awg grounded my cranking battery, 0awg from the alt + to batt +, and have yet to upgrade my other ground.....

anyone have an idea of what could be going on?

    thanks, seth

Im confused, are you disconnecting the orginal positive wire?

The big 3 you just add wire not remove

    IIRC

is it more then 1 wire in the factory wire? if so there might be like a 8ga starter/acc wire in there that still needs to be connected

This. Just add the wire, you definitely disconnected your starter
