the amp is fine, but buy it from amazon for cheaper price, its only $124 free shipping instead of $199 from crutchfield
    Amazon.com: Kenwood Kac-8105D 1000-Watt Class D Mono Amplifier: Electronics

here are three subs choose them, they are better than that kenwood sub in my opinion
    SSA Shop - SSA Dcon 12D4 subwoofer300rms
JBL GTO1214D 12" Dual 4 ohms Grand Touring Die-Cast Series Car Subwoofer

Im liking the GTO1214D sub but is the GTO3501 amp enough for it to get the sub to its full potential.

Re: Help with Sub and Amp

it will give it 360 watts, its rated for 350, so it should do just fine.

u can step up the sub and amp, but its gonna be $352
JBL P1222 12" Dual 2 ohms Power Series Car Subwoofer
    http://www.techronics.com/caraudio_1...html?aff=72182

u could do this, its 500 rms sub/amp, costs $272
Rockford Fosgate Punch P3D412 12" Dual 4 ohms Stage 3 Car Audio Subwoofer
    http://www.techronics.com/caraudio_1...er-R5001-.html
i havent used prime amp, but i liked my punch amp and punch subs got loud

or u could go with this, its two subs, 1 amp, all matching, costs $316, i know this would be loud, i have these subs off 400 watts, this amp does 500
    two of these subs
Rockford Fosgate Punch P2D212 12" Dual 2 ohms Punch Stage 2 Car Audio Subwoofer
    this amp
    http://www.techronics.com/caraudio_1...er-R5001-.html

the jbl setup would probably have the better sound quality, imo, still get loud, but the last setup i linked with two 12s will be the loudest no doubt
