    2 subs, total wattage question

I have 2 400W DVC 2ohm subs that I will be wiring into a 2ohm load, will I need to have a monoblock that is capable of pushing 400W at 2ohms or 800W at 2ohms so that I can meet rms power handeling on subs? thanks for all your help

Youd want to push about 800-1000 watts at 2 ohms to those subs for the best results, for the most part.

Get the bx1000 instead of the 1500.

but the BX1000 only puts out 500w at 2 ohms so wouldnt that really underpower my subs if i need 800-1000w? also what are some other options?

Ya you are right, I wasnt really thinking. 1500 would be a great idea in case you want to upgrade in the future.. youll have 1500w waiting.
