    Re: Zed review in PA&S this month!

    Already bought it 3 days ago just because of that review.

    It looks like they have increased the car audio section, lots of reviews this issue.

    Re: Zed review in PA&S this month!

    Zed has the potential to single handedly bring Car Audio back in the spotlight with just these amps if they get enough exposure and push.

    People you have already lost the only 2 magazines that were worth having for this industry (AS&S and CA&E) because you overlooked it or thought it would always be there. NOW is the time to support the products that are going to push the industry back in the spotlight and ZED is capable of bringing back the game. When Zed goes away and Steve is no longer around years from now there will be nothing left to talk about in the good old days in a field of new engineers putting out cookie cutter products. Support these dang Zed amps while you can.

    $600 for an amp that runs the entire system V/S $600 in ampS ain't much difference. And quality we don't have to talk about quality, no. Here's the review, posted to the zed site by the way http://www.zedaudiocorp.com/Downloads/ZED-PAS.PDF

    Re: Zed review in PA&S this month!

    Weird that in the magazine is says each channel is rated at 250 at 2ohms, whereas Zed said it was 300 for each, and 3x600 bridged.

    1,400+ designs since March 2011...

    Could be going off benchmarks under whatever testing conditions they are using, or hell maybe they were half baked when they wrote the article. Who knows. Whatever Steve says it'll do, it'll do.

    The PG amp reviewed was a prototype, the Leviathan might have been one too.

    Re: Zed review in PA&S this month!

    There's something about the Zed amps that nobody has mentioned and I don't know if it is just because people aren't paying attention or they can't believe what the are seeing. Hifonics have long been "the original zed amp". When everyone thinks of Zed they say Hifonics. You can look at the side of the Leviathan and see the familiar old school Hifonics arrowed adjustment knobs, the softly rounded push buttons, the sharply square design with the small raised heat sinks... and you realize....... Maxxsonics only owns the name, the 2010 Hifonics amps are being built by the hand that built the original amps. These truly are all the old school quality of the old Hifonics amps, being built into the 2010 technology, by the only person that knows how to build them. They called the old Hifonics amps Zed amps, ..............now they can call the new Zed amps the old Hifonics amps made new again.

    IMO this is the most exciting development in Car audio in over a decade.

    Read man. 150 per channel x 6 @ 4 ohm

    or

    250 per channel x 6 @ 2 ohm.

    Zed has built a daum monster and it isn't even the big one....... The big one is Kronos. (2 channel sub amp rated at continuous RMS least possible output @ 12v)

    Continuous Output Power into 2 ohm per channel ++ 500w x 2
    Continuous Output Power into 4 ohm per channel ++ 250w x 2
    Typical Output Power into 4 ohm per channel (1% THD) ++ 330w x 2

    Continuous Output Power 2 channels bridged into 4 ohm ++ 1000w x 1
    Continuous Output Power 2 channels bridged into 8 ohm ++ 500w x 1

    That's about 90,000 jigawatts in B.S. power from most of the crap out there.

    We had a ton of interest during the group buys. A few people have asked about running another one.
