    can you connect a portable mp3 to a car audio system

    is it possible ...

    cause it would be nice if i could plug my mp3 player in some how to my system in my truck... any thoughts

    Yes it is possible. Your Mp3 player needs to have an auxilary out plug, and your deck needs an aux. in plug My cheapo Aiwa has one so maybe yours does too. You might..."might" be able to use the headphone jack and go directly to the deck but I think you're probably gonna need the aux. out feature.
