preamp voltage, rms or peak?...
i was just wondering, are the pre amp voltages on HU's rated in rms or peak? is there an industry standard on this, or do manufacturers just come up with there own stuff?
i have a clarion dxz835mp, supposedly has 4v outs, at its full volume, unclipped, will i get 4 volts?
main thing i want to know is how much voltage my unit is putting out, that way i know whether to get a linedriver or not. i also thought that if people knew things, like how much pre amp voltage certain HU's produced, maybe it can be an informative thing for some members (like me
).
