You must be clipping giving that much boost?

low voltage and a clipping issue. no bass boost , and dont play with car off as well.

If you play it with your car off you could end up with some problems..

    noobzor

Playing with your car off can run your amp at too low a voltage and damage it. Did you set your gains with a DMM? And turn off the bass boost...

You're most likely overworkin your amp due to incorrect amp settings...

Re: how to fix my sub from cutting off when engine is off/on

My amp is 2ohm stable, my sub is wired from... im not exactly sure since my brother is the one that did it. But from what I know my sub is 4ohm dual voice coil. My sub just started cutting off ever since I put the cadence amp (1 week ago) because when I didn't have the amp.. it did cut off a bit but not as fast as it does now. Im asumming I need more battery power or should I say a bigger alternator. Because I did notice that when I have my headlights on it cutts off at a earlier volume.

You're probably dropping too low a voltage and your amp's going into protection then. Get a small battery for your trunk.

NEVER use a cap. just get a kinetik 1400 under the hood and do the big 3 and you should be good to go. Also turn that gain down a bit.

you don't run with the car off so you don't damage the amp and or kill your battery.

bass knob really isn't that cool. My cadence txa came with one, hooked it up to my sub amp, Made the bass go way to high, and just sounded like crap. I tossed it

Re: how to fix my sub from cutting off when engine is off/on

so i tested the voltage...with the car on the voltage is 13.83 with the music off.with the musc on to were it starts cutting off the voltage is at 13.62 with the engine off...with the engine off the voltage is at 12.90 and with the music on to were it starts cutting off the voltage is 12.98.

the ohms readings on the dist block .0L

btw my amp is not jumping to protection when the sub cuts off the power light blinks
