    ebay box any good?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting

i was wondering if this was a good box. i've got 2 eD12O's and need 1.5 cubic ft per sub. this box is only 18.99 so im not sure about the quality, although they say they use 3/4" mdf, with evo glue and silicone to seal it properly. i was gonna buy from www.loudboxes.com until i saw this for half the price. and i cant even find any pics of the boxes from www.loudboxes.com. anyways, should i get this box?

looks good to me .... if u want a tad bit more SPL search for a ported box on ebay. if its only a matter of a few dollars ... might as well spend a bit more on a ported if you can find/want one. anyways .... id go for it, ive had pawn shop boxes 3/4 MDF glued inside and they work perfectly fine

well i would go ported but my subs r only made for sealed and infinite baffle. also, the dimensions for the box that eD recommends is different, but the airspace is the same, there shouldnt be a difference, right?

I got one from the same exact company, except i got a ported slot vent one... the boxes are excellent quality seriously. im positive their sealed boxes are just as good. theyre also like 150$ cheaper than at your local car audio store, at least it was for me.

    the one i got- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...DME:B:EOT:US:3

wow, don't buy prefab ported boxes. You don't know what the box is tuned to, even if they say "32hz" or something, you won't know for sure unless you do the math yourself.

wait, i though if i bought a sealed box i wouldnt have to worry about what its tuned to. i thought that only applied to vented and ported boxes. am i wrong?

    Re: ebay box any good?

Pay no attention to tuning or anything if you go sealed. They were saying not to get prefabbed ported/vented enclosures because the tuning is sometimes off what they claim it is. Don't go ported it will sound great and loud in a sealed enclosure as long as it's built well and is 3/4" mdf (and around 1.5 ft3)
