    Re: approximate prices

    3413 $249
    5423 $289
5433 $339 or so(same as 5423 only with credit card remote)

    commander advance...not sure, it isn't out yet(have heard $299 and $399)

For a dealer closest to you, call 1-800-55-eclipse, and you will be automatically connected to them.

thanks man. just for kicks how much does the one you have cost. I may get the commander if it costs 300. seems pretty cool to have voice recognition just like the factory stuff in like a bmw 745.

    Re: approximate prices

    ouch...

i'm guessing the CD8443 would be in the mid $400 dollar range at least then. **** i wish that 5433 had the 24 bit processing. guess i got to try to find a old Sony mobile ES on ebay or something or just fall back on Alpine. I seriousy doubt if the 5433 can really stick with the alpine cda7815 in sq and features

The 8443 retails for $419. The 5433 won't have as many features as the alpine(9815, i assume?), but you might be pleasantly surprised at its sq. You are comparing a $500 alpine(the 9815) to a $340 eclipse...ofcourse the eclipse won't compare, features wise. The 8443/8053 has time alignment, eq, adjustable Xovers, 8 volt pre outs, etc. As for 24 bit, the alpine doesn't have it either. If you think 24 bit is something you must have, clarion has it as do the 8 series eclipse decks.

420 doesn't sound that bad. i was going to pay 380 for the alpine from carmedia1.com so 40 extra dollars shouldn't hurt especially when i gain the fact it would be from a authorized dealer so i would have a valid warranty incase something happens to it. does eclipse have a policy of the warrenty bieng voided if u install it yourself. i would hate to have to pay a shop to install when with the way the dash is designed in my car it would take 20 minutes to do the whole install and that would be working at a nice slow liesurely pace

YOu get a 1 year warranty if you install it, but you get a 3 year warranty if the shop installs it(i think 2 extra years of warranty are worth a nominal installation fee). Also, the shop may let you install it and sign off on your install so you get the 3 year warranty. They may just want to inspect your wiring before you hook it up.

i doubt that. but a extra 30 or so shouldn't be bad for a extra 2 years, most extended warrenty plans are higher than that. i should get the lowest rate to install it in my car since you only have to take out 7 screws to get to the head unit including the 2 that mount it to the bracket and i already have a wiring harness for my current HU

Well, you can ask them if they will just "ok" your install and sign off on the eclipse form. It won't hurt to ask.
